# Hockeysticky early access: what we are building and what comes next

Building is easy now. Growing is the hard part. That is the starting point for Hockeysticky, an AI growth autopilot for early-stage products. This is the first post in the Product updates series. It covers where things stand today, what is still to come, and how founders can get involved.

## Where things stand

- **Access is invite-only.** The sign-in page says access is invite-only for now.
- **The waitlist is open.** Joining gets you one month of early access and an early-bird discount, per the website.
- **Two playbook goals are live:** Awareness (getting found) and Trial (turning visitors into sign-ups).
- **Three goals are coming:** Onboard, Retain and Expand. The Playbooks page marks them as coming, and no dates have been published.

## What Hockeysticky does today

The features below are the ones described on the Hockeysticky website. Each playbook has one key metric, a motion fit and the tools it needs.

| Capability | What the website says |
|---|---|
| Tailored playbook | Built around your startup or product, not a template library. It is updated as your market, evidence and releases change. |
| Release-to-growth loop | Four steps: Understand (read the release, product context and audience), Propose (choose plays, channels and tools worth testing), Execute (create, publish, reach out and launch within your guardrails), Learn (measure qualified visits and sign-ups, then improve the next playbook). |
| Awareness plays | The Playbooks page lists Content you own, Comparison and alternatives pages, Live conversations and Customer outreach. |
| Stack integrations | The site lists AI workspaces (Claude, Codex, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, Base44), plus categories such as code, documentation, SEO, analytics, CRM and outreach. |

The homepage also describes plays for content elsewhere, creator partnerships, paid traffic, buying and trial intent, and community. This post does not claim those are available during early access. Check the Playbooks page for current status.

The Playbooks page labels each play's "typical potential" as a general editorial view for a solo founder or small team over about 90 days. It is not a measured result, and this post does not present it as one.

## What comes next

- **Onboard, Retain and Expand playbooks.** They extend the product from getting found toward customers who stick. The mission page describes the whole journey as Reach, Onboard, Activate, Retain and Expand, with Reach first.
- **Pricing.** The pricing page says a value-based model is being validated, tied to qualified visitors and sign-ups. No prices have been published, so none are stated here.

This post gives no release dates, because none have been published.

## Who this is for

The primary audience is solo founders and small teams who can ship with AI coding tools but have no users yet and no time to run growth. If that sounds familiar, the early-access setup is simple. Give Hockeysticky the website and blog, connect the code, and it handles the rest of the playbook work.

## Two ways to take part

1. **Join the waitlist** for one month of early access and an early-bird discount.
2. **Share an idea to test.** No product yet? The website invites you to say which ideas you want to test. The contact page says every message is read.

**Join the waitlist on hockeysticky.com.**

## Series note

This is the first post under Product updates > Releases. Future release posts will be added to this series as features ship. No cluster posts exist yet, so this post links to none.
